Meet Flynn, a female Loggerhead turtle rescued at Flynn reef over a year ago suffering a break to a flipper.
Rehabilitated with support from all the wonderful volunteers at Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre  and facilities and support from JCU: James Cook University, Australia she is ready to go back to the sea.

Flynn was brought to us on Sunday in preparation and today was fitted with GPS tracker and tagged for her release.

For those that wish to witness this wonderful occasion, we invite you this coming Sunday to join us.

Venue is on the beach at Rotary Park Wongaling Beach.
The plan is for a 10.30 swim away so make sure you are there in plenty of time.
Not sure if we will have bollards in place so please leave a wide berth, there will be ample opportunities to see her on the way down the beach.
Same as for previous and all turtle releases, please leave your four legged friends at home.
You will only hold proceedings up if we have to wait for you to remove your dog.
Remember it is stinger season, and even standing in the water can pose a risk.
