Mirfield in Bloom Community Spring Clean 2026
Hi @everyone
The MiB team are posting our first event of the year early as we are trying to get as many people, community groups, schools, nurseries and businesses as possible participating in the Mirfield in Bloom Community Spring Clean
As usual, we would love to see an #AllHandsOnDeck effort from anyone who is able to help 🙏
Not sure how you could help?
Why not do your bit by...
*Cleaning up a 'Grot Spot' near your home or business. 🏡
*Sweeping around your house or business premises (if you do it now, and continue to do it regularly it will discourage the silt so less weeds will be able to take hold later in the year)
*Litter pick whilst out walking your dog. 🐕
*Rally your neighbours so you can spruce up your area together (just think how good some of the little side streets or cul-de-sacs could look if you all worked together)❤️
*Form a like-minded group of friends within your school/community group to help protect the environment you live in.🌎
*Or just simply dispose of your litter responsibly, or take it home instead of dropping it - which in turn protects the wildlife 🦔
What we've achieved so far has been done by a very small group of people - but you could be part of it by doing your bit around your area.
Want to help but don't have any equipment?
No problem, as some of the team will be down at the main Co-op in Mirfield with litter picking equipment from 10.00 am until 2.00 pm on Saturday 28th March and our skips will be in situ at St Mary's Community Centre Mirfield and St Paul's Church, Mirfield
Please join us if you can 🙏
