Mirfield will be singing in the festivities this Christmas Eve with the annual Carols Round The Tree outside Mirfield Library from 4pm on Wednesday 24th December. Gathering from 3pm
Now in its 15th year, this free festive community gathering has quickly becoming a Mirfield family tradition to meet up with friends and family, and welcome in the big day.
A true coming together of local organisations, businesses and residents, has seen Carols Round The Tree grow year on year - each adding something new each year.
Carols will include favourites such as: Away in a Manger, While Shepherds Watched, We Three Kings of Orient Are, O Little Town of Bethlehem, Once in Royal David's City and Silent Night.
Thanks must be given to Martyn Jones, Mirfield Library, the Police, Kirklees, Mirfield Town Council, Thornhill Insurance, amongst others, for their ongoing support.
Everyone is welcome to join the singers and brass band to welcome in Christmas in the traditional way. Song sheets will be available on the night and don’t forget to wrap up warm and bring a torch.
Any more details will be posted as they are confirmed.
