When? 1.30pm for a 2pm start, Saturday 14th March
Where? Mirfield Cricket Club, incorporating Harry Lime CC
What? Sponsored run/walk 🏃 🏃🏼♀️ 🏃♂️ but no ordinary sponsored run/walk……
To mark the London Marathon we are inviting you to run/walk a tenth of the London Marathon! London is 42k so could you take on the challenge of 4.2k which just happens to be 10 laps of the cricket club field!
But we would love it if you ran/walked it as creatively as possible! This could be in the Young Lives Charity colours, 3 legged, backwards, in fancy dress, as a pantomime horse ….. I m sure you can all think a lot more imaginatively than me!
And if that wasn’t enough to get you interested I can let you know that the first volunteer is Fred Woodward who is baking and will be running the kitchen with hot drinks available and the cricket club bar will be open too!
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
💜 100 people to take part! 100 places available!
💜 A pledge to try and raise £42 per person ((£1 per 1km of the marathon)
💜 People to bake so we can have some lovely treats available for people to buy! And people to run a baking stall.
WHAT YOU WILL GET:
💜 A certificate and pen for every person who takes part and raises money
💜Prizes for the most imaginative and creatively run/walked 4.2k
💜Every person who enters will have their name go into a raffle draw
