2026 CMS-Wildland Fire Committee Meeting

The 2026 National Association of State Foresters’ CMS-Wildland Fire Committee Meeting is expected to attract national leaders and exhibitors in the wildfire and forest management sectors and provide ample opportunity to interact with speakers, state forestry wildland fire officials, cooperators, and industry representatives.

The intent of the meeting is to gather all NASF Regional Fire Chiefs, Managers, and Supervisors, the NASF Fire Committee, and other cooperators / designees to improve collaboration, information sharing, and response related to the mission of Wildland Fire Suppression and Response across the nation and the three NASF Regions.

This meeting provides the opportunity to share information, collaborate, and coordinate efforts to maintain and improve the NASF member agencies’ interagency response to wildland fires, planning, training, and mitigation efforts. This forum will identify new and emerging opportunities as well as challenges and responses to improve operations and future accomplishments that support the mission of wildfire suppression and preparedness.

The 2026 NASF CMS-Wildland Fire Committee Meeting will be held at the Hotel Effie Sandestin in Miramar Beach FL, from January 13-15, 2026. The registration fee is $550 for attendees.

After this date, the fee will rise to $650 for late registrations ($1700 for exhibitors), through January 7. Please ensure you are registered before the closing date. There will be no on-site registration.

Reservations must be made no later than Friday, December 19, 2025 in order to receive these rates.

The hotel is approximately 30-45 minutes from Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS), and 1 hour from Panama City Airport (ECP). Both are serviced by car rental companies, shuttle services, and rideshares.

Valet parking is available($32 per day) and complimentary ($0) self-parking is within a short 2-minute walk from the Inspiration/Monarch parking lot.
