A story telling workshop for kids.
Saturday, 12th January 2019.

Stories evoke interest and curiosity. They are the strongest tool to transfer knowledge and experience amongst people. The stories we tell and listen to influence what we think and believe. SGNP teams up with Ms. Neelam Fernando to launch interesting and highly engaging storytelling workshops. Ms. Neelam is a full-time storyteller accredited by Kathalaya.

This is a unique and fun workshop for children that introduces storytelling techniques and best practices through dramatisation, fun physical & mental games and of course stories!!! And if this wasn’t enough, we also have a jungle story trail surprise for you at the end of the session.

Date: Saturday, 12th January 2019.
Venue: Nature Information Center (NIC), SGNP.

Itinerary:
02.15 PM - Reporting and registrations at NIC
02.30 PM - In-house session begins.
03.45 PM - Break for refreshments.
4.00 PM - Story session resumes on a trail.
5.30 PM - Return to NIC (workshop concludes)

About the Resource Person:
Neelam Fernando is a professional story teller and is accredited by Kathalaya a globally recognised academy for storytelling which is affiliated to the International Institute of Storytelling Tennessee, USA. She works with differently abled children, toddlers, kids, teenagers & corporates uses storytelling as an effective tool for learning, communication and channeling their inner energy and creativity in a systematic way.

Neelam spent over 11 years working with Fortune 500’s like Accenture & Unilever ventures, as the Head of Service Delivery before she chose to decamp to fuel her passion of storytelling.

Costs: 1,100 per kid
Costs include: All instructions, nature trail fees, resource person fees, transport from NIC to Nature Trail and back.
- Participants have to take their own entry tickets.

Age Group: 6-14 years.

Instructions:
- Please carry water bottles and a snack box
- Loose comfortable (preferably full) clothing
- Parents can wait at the venue, if they want the can accompany the kids on the outdoor session with an additional charge of Rs. 100 per head.
