Play Outside. Experience Winter.
The American Pond Hockey Invitational (APH) is back—and officially SOLD OUT with teams traveling from across the country (and beyond!) to compete on the frozen lake in Minocqua. While team registration is closed, the event is wide open for spectators, families, and anyone looking to experience winter the way it was meant to be: outdoors, on the ice, surrounded by community.
Come down to the Aqua Bowl and take in one of the most unique winter sporting events in the Midwest:
What to Expect
• Fast-paced outdoor pond hockey on multiple rinks
• Free public skating rink
• Breathtaking winter atmosphere with crisp air, music, and lights on the ice
• Food, drinks & local vendors supporting the Minocqua community
• Community activations & non-profit fundraisers
• Family-friendly environment perfect for kids, parents & winter enthusiasts
Why It’s Special
APH isn’t just a tournament—it’s a winter celebration built in partnership with the Town of Minocqua, Min-Aqua Bats, local businesses, and community groups. This year marks the first time all three have collaborated to make public ice skating at the Aqua Bowl a reality.
Whether you’re here to watch elite pond hockey, skate with family, or simply take in the atmosphere, the APH weekend is free to attend and built for everyone.
