Presented by the Ukrainian Global Symphony Project and the Ukrainian American Community Center of Minneapolis, this electrifying event brings together the region’s top musicians for a concert of defiance, hope, and cultural pride.

Experience the uncensored Symphony No. 3 by Borys Liatoshynsky—Ukraine’s iconic composer—performed at last in its full power after decades of Soviet suppression. Under the baton of emerging conductor Nickolai Podvin, Minnesota’s finest musicians unite from the Minnesota Orchestra, Minnesota Opera, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Rochester Symphony, and South Dakota Symphony Orchestra, and the Twin Cities Musicians Union.  We also welcome Grammy-winning cellist Matt Haimovitz, who joins the stage for the heart-stirring and powerful performance of the newly rediscovered Cello Concerto by Thomas de Hartmann. The evening also bursts to life with the Bandura Duo’s stirring Ukrainian folksongs and the Cheremosh Dance group’s dazzling costumes and choreography.
