Sound Healing w/ Angie Meillier
Sound therapy uses different aspects of sound to improve emotional and physical well-being and has been practiced for centuries around the world. Current research is showing strong evidence that music has mental and physical health benefits including stress reduction, increased relaxation, decreased anxiety and improved spiritual well-being.

Join us for a socially-distance, Covid-safe indoor workshop in the spacious Solomon's Porch Sanctuary. Please wear a mask when moving about as you choose a couch, chair or the floor to rest. Please bring a yoga mat and a blanket.
Limited to 20 people. Please preregister.
When sound is combined with energy balancing, awareness and intent, effectiveness is unmistakably increased! The vibrational frequency of the singing bowls and gong work with “binaural beats” or “brain entrainment”, which is based on the premise that brainwaves synchronize with bowl/gong tones and move from an alert sate (Beta) to a meditative state (Alpha) or even daydreaming state (Theta).
Curious to learn more? Please join us and experience the benefits of vibrational therapy.
Angie Meillier is a holistic nurse, energy healing practitioner and Qi Gong instructor. Justin Meillier has deep roots in transpersonal psychology, meditation and Zen Buddhism. Angie and Justin are excited to partner with Yoga Sanctuary and bring this beautiful modality to the community.
*Crystal quartz singing bowls have the same premise as ancient Tibetan singing bowls, and are a newer technology. First introduced in the 1980’s, crystal quartz singing bowls can be used as sound therapy tools. By simply listening to the rich, pure, vibrant tones of the bowls, most recipients become deeply relaxed and rejuvenated. Gongs date back to the Bronze Age, about 3500 BC, and have been used across cultures for meditation, healing, initiation, communication and ceremonies. The Wu Xing Gong is tuned with a vast frequency range, allowing for both complex tones and beautiful harmonies. The name Wu Xing comes from ancient Chinese, and means the five elements of life. It is from these elements that gongs are created and used to balance life within the universe.
