- **Event Description**: As we celebrate our community, our history, our culture and our roots we will gather on Friday, June 13th to kick off our 2025 weekend celebration of Juneteenth.

Juneteenth commemorates the date in 1865 when news of the emancipation of African American slaves reached Galveston, Texas.

The official name of federal holiday is Juneteenth National Independence Day, also called Emancipation Day, Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, Black Independence Day, and Juneteenth Independence Day.

This year is the THIRD YEAR that Juneteenth is a State Holiday in the State of Minnesota are we are thrilled to be back in person celebrating again. 

We will have a fun, free evening of activities with the schedule outlined below: 

5pm - Doors Open 
*Bounce House, Face Painting, BBQ, KMOJ w/Music Outside.

6pm - Movie Begins
*Playing “Soul” inside so bring your pillow/blanket if desired and we will see you there! 

This event is FREE & Open to ALL as we celebrate our freedom, our community and our heritage. We look forward to celebrating our community and culture with each of you!
