- **Event Description**: Every Wednesday in August and September, you can adopt a pet for free! Thanks to a $13,300 grant from the ASPCA, Minneapolis Animal Care and Control (MACC) is covering all adoption fees. We’ll cover your pet licensing fee, too, if you happen to live in Minneapolis. 

Join us in our mission to help more animals find homes. Like most shelters and rescues across the nation, MACC’s shelter is consistently full. You can change many lives by adopting a pet and freeing up shelter resources for every animal who needs us. When you help one, you help many. That’s The Rescue Effect. 

Anyone can find their next furry family member at MACC—you don’t have to be a Minneapolis resident. All cats and dogs up for adoption are healthy, spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
