5-8 pm - PRELAUNCH COMMUNITY BYO PICNIC

• Bring a blanket, picnic, flashlights and friend

• Special Guests: Return Journey artist Randy Walker, Astronaut Duane “Digger” Carey, Rocket storytellers and members of the original Rocket Boosters, Paper Airplane Making with Erik Reise, live music by virtuoso John Eller and launch light show accompaniment by the Junk quartet.

• Space Jam Rock-it Classics, giant bubbles, far-out lawn games, frisbee and paper airplane contest, rocket bling-making, fence yarn-bombing and more!

8-10 pm - PREPARE FOR LIFTOFF!

• TigerLion and the Flashlight Flash Mob

• Shadow puppetry, deep space animations, costumed creatures, special effects and light shows featuring Paige Dansinger, Eva Adderley, pETER gIEBINK and other talented local artists

• Stargazing (see the rings of Saturn!)
