Starting May 5th (- June 2). This is my 2nd class 5 week Intro to Fire class series of the year, with only 2-3 more series being offered this summer and fall, while the weather stays nice! IMO, spring time is the BEST time to learn, so then you'll be able to play with fire all summer long! *** Side note: This particular series will end a week prior to TTATC (a burner-rific annual event I've directed and managed for MANY years! www.ttatc.com), with prefect timing if you want to join me there and play with fire in our Cabin Fire Conclave! I'm sure I'll tell you all about it during our classes, as I'll be gearing up and finalizing the event for this year during that time! ---------------------------------------------- BECOME A FIRE DANCER IN 5 WEEKS! Really?!? YES, YOU CAN DO IT! It's not as difficult as it seems, as long as you have a good experienced fire teacher like me! I gotchu! Wanna play with fire?? NOW IS THE TIME!!! Don't wait, ACT NOW. Have you wondered where and how to even start? Well, here’s your opportunity. Over 300 students have taken this Intro to Fire class series, that I’ve been teaching consistently since 2013 – WOW! Really. It's crazy how many people I've taught to play with fire, and impressively, I still see so many of my long ago students continuing to post fire photos and videos, performing, and playing with fire all over the place! I love it. These classes will cover all the bases, make sure you have all the right supplies, and teaches you from zero to performing for your friends and family in 5 weeks! This class is recommended for newbies and beginners that wish to learn properly and safely, in a comfortable and fun environment, with Fire Mama holding your hand (not literally - ha!) the whole way! Fire play is my passion, and I'm so happy and excited to have continued support and requests for these classes after all these years. This is a 5 week series, with classes (this time) on 5 TUESDAYS. May 5, 12, 18, and 26, with our final class on June 2. All classes 7 - 9 pm. Only 4-5 class series offered per season (TBA), depending. -------------------------------------------- Teaching Fire Poi, Staff, Fans, OR Hoop *Choose only one (for now!)! (BUT HONESTLY.... I SUPER VERY MUCH PREFER POI STUDENTS! It's my specialty, where most people actually start anyways, and is my FAV! POI POI POI!) Poi spinning skills transfer to most other props, so it's actually a GREAT place to start. FYI - FANS are actually difficult to order for you, primarily cuz there are such a wide variety of styles and levels of fire to choose from, and really, you probably don't know what you want yet! Meanwhile, you could check out mine! I'll show you. ***Please don't buy any fire props for class without talking to me first (ideally at our first class). I've had a few people buy the wrong thing trying to get a jump on this, but pleeeeez let me advise you! Hoopers must come with previous basic hooping experience, as I typically don't focus on teaching hoop skills. All other props will be taught basic skills. This class will focus primarily on the fire, and less on prop spinning skills. (But, if you’re interested, I also teach a separate poi spinning skills class, on Mondays – just ask me!) Week 1: Order props, first movement skills class. Homework - fire kit building! Week 2: SAFETY and Instruction - ULTRA REQUIRED CLASS!!! Weeks 3-5: Guided experience and specific instruction sessions. You will leave this class series with all the props, accessories, tools, knowledge, and confidence you need to perform comfortably and safely with fire! Must choose only ONE prop to focus on for the entire class series. Once you officially join the class, you will be added to the class group page for resources and support. Must sign a liability and emergency contact form at the start of class #1! Fire play is a dangerous activity! Come learn with focus, respect, and safety as the top priority. You'll love it - it's a rush every time! COST: (Same rates as last year!) $275 for the entire 5 week series. Class/Week #2 (SAFETY CLASS) is REQUIRED. You MUST attend this particular class of the series or arrange for a make-up session ($30 extra) prior to proceeding in the series, if it is missed. There are some extra costs for your fire kit supplies (that you'll go get for yourself, I'll tell you everything!) and your personal fire props (i can help you get!), which will last you a lifetime! I'll walk you through EVERYTHING you need to know - I've done this a bunch and have pretty sweet system figured out. ***You MUST plan to pay for your own fire props (digital or cash) during our first class, so we can order them all together (as needed)! I'm happy to give you specific prop recommendations, have samples of everything to show you and for you to play with at our first class, which will help make this a smooth process all around! Once you have all your gear, you'll have it for life! The only thing you'll have to replace is your fuel, which only depends on how much you wanna play on your own once we're done with the series. Payment for the entire series (or at least the down payment, keep reading!) is due prior to starting the classes. You are still required to pay for your own fire prop ($100ish, depending) at Class #1.*** Maximum 7 students per class - first come first serve, and given the continued interest in these classes, I wouldn't be surprised if they max out, so don't dilly dally! However..... there is a class minimum of 3 students per class series (I reserve the right to cancel the entire class, if the minimum is not reached. Bring your friends!). No spectators, no pets, no refunds, and no kids (unless by super duper special request - tell me more).
