GBF is the groovetastic, undefeated, unchallenged, undisputed heavyweight champs of funk, soul, and R&B. Ten pieces. World-class vocals. A five-piece horn section that does not come to whisper. The most soulful rhythm section north of Memphis. Fresh, nasty, joyful wrecking-ball versions of Stevie, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Tower of Power, Earth Wind & Fire, Hall & Oates, Bruno Mars, and whatever else they feel like detonating.
Bunker’s is the 1976 brick-and-neon temple of “something is about to happen.” The room Prince treated like a secret. Fifty years of cold drinks, hot music, and people who came “for one set” and woke up still grinning.
When those two lock in, the dance floor files a missing-person report on sitting down. Your feet unionize. Your Monday calls in jealous. A stranger will become your best friend by the second chorus and you will not fight it.
