Musicians of the Minnesota Philharmonic Orchestra are excited to partner with Judson Memorial Baptist Church to bring you this chamber concert featuring works by Mendelssohn, Brahms, and Bartók.
The evening of high caliber music includes the following program:
Brahms’s Clarinet Quintet in B Minor
Mendelssohn’s String Quartet No. 2 in A minor
Bartók’s Romanian Folk Dances
Proceeds from this concert benefit the Minnesota Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) and Judson Memorial Baptist Church.
The MPO seeks to provide diverse arts entertainment of the highest quality and increased visibility for the musical talents of the LGBTQIA+ community. The MPO was founded in 1993 and is the nation’s first and Minnesota’s only LGBTQIA+ orchestra.
Judson Memorial Baptist Church is a thriving liberal congregation in SW Minneapolis dedicated to uplifting the community through hospitality, social justice, joy, and deep spirituality. Judson Memorial Baptist Church is a queer affirming congregation.
