How Our Ancestors Are Bringing Us Back to Radical Kindness

The inspiration comes from the powerful words of Becca Good, who, after the devastating loss of her beloved partner Renee, shared a message that touched hearts around the world:

"Renee and I chose kindness. We believed that every life deserves the same care, treatment, and dignity, no matter who they are or what they look like. That shouldn't be radical. If it is, then I want Renee and our family to be known for how we practiced radical kindness every day."

Those words stopped me in my tracks.

Because kindness sounds beautiful in theory.

But what about when we're hurt?
When we're angry?
When we're grieving?
When the world feels divided and uncertain?

That's where the real work begins.

In this talk, I'll share what my ancestors have been teaching me about the practice of radical kindness—not as a concept, but as a way of living.

Together we'll explore:

✨ How ancestral wisdom can guide us through polarized times
✨ Why compassion is not weakness, but a profound form of courage
✨ Practical ways to choose kindness without abandoning truth or boundaries
✨ How we become peacemakers in our families, communities, and within ourselves

Because saying "choose compassion" is one thing.

Living it is a whole notha subject.

And yet, I believe that's exactly what this moment is asking of us.
