We are excited to invite you to a joint training session organized by the Hausa and Tyap Wikimedians communities as part of the ongoing Africa Wiki Challenge 2025! This event, aims to enhance African content on Wikipedia by focusing on historical injustices, reparations, and African resilience, under the theme "Reclaiming Our Narrative: Justice for Africans and the Diaspora through Reparations."

- Date: Saturday, 19th July 2025
- Time: 9:30 AM WAT
- Venue: AX1 Aliyu Makama Road, by Narayi Junction, Barnawa, Kaduna
- Target Participants: Hausa and Tyap Wikimedians, open to all interested contributors
What to Expect:
- Hands-on training on editing, translating, and creating high-quality Wikipedia content in Hausa and Tyap languages.
- Guidance on uploading images and media to Wikimedia Commons to enrich African narratives.
- Collaborative discussions on documenting African history, culture, and advocacy for justice and reparations.
- Networking with fellow Wikimedians to strengthen our local communities.
This session is a unique opportunity to contribute to a more accurate and representative online knowledge base for Africa whether you're a seasoned editor or a newcomer, your voice matters in reshaping Africa’s digital narrative!
