- **Event Description**: Welcome to the Art of Sashiko. Sashiko is what we do to textiles before mending is needed! The first portion of the workshop begins with an overview of Sashiko, a demo of Unshin and a pre-printed design, making it easier to follow and grow in confidence with your hand-stitching rhythm as we move to the second phase, drafting! You will no longer be limited to the pre-printed sampler panels that are widely available. Maday will guide you through drafting two designs on linen/cotton fabric. We will also have templates available for additional drafting. This workshop is open to everyone whether you have taken a Sashiko workshop before or not. Please bring a garment you would like to add Sashiko stitching to.
