- **Event Description**: Join us for the tenth annual Writing Retreat at Shake Rag Alley, open to writers of all levels. We’re excited to welcome a stellar faculty including Lydi Conklin (fiction), Tamara Dean (creative nonfiction), and Dasha Kelly (poetry). 

In addition to your core workshops, you can explore the unexpected with Han Raschka, and the submission process with Adam al-Sirkany. There’s also writing in community, the inspiring places and spaces of Mineral Point, opportunities to share your work, a Saturday night reading with all our faculty, included lunches, and more. 

First, choose your core writing workshop:

Generative Fiction Workshop with Lydi Conklin 
Adding Dimensions to Creative Nonfiction with Tamara Dean
A Line Meant Poetry Workshop with Dasha Kelly
Retreat Tuition: $350 

includes your core workshop, both Saturday and Sunday workshops (Drag Queens & Car Crashes: The Turn with Han Raschka and Don’t Shoot Yourself in the Foot: Submitting Your Book with an Editor’s Eye with Adam al-Sirgany), and lunches on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We hope you’ll also join us for the Saturday night reading at Republic of Letters Books, and explore Mineral Point throughout the weekend.

Manuscript consultations (optional) with faculty are available on a first-come, first-served basis. $50.  

Class size limited to 12. Registration deadline is May 4.
