Lisa and Jim Daggett launched Southwest Designs in 2008 while spending time in Las Cruces, NM. New Mexico is famous for its striking Native American Jewelry and Art, so we did not lack for inspiration. But we determined to make Southwest Designs Jewelry our own – high-end custom pieces that respected the best of the Jewelry we’d admired but forged from our own distinct vision. Our goal was to create bold, eye-catching, yet approachable designs showcasing Sterling Silver and an extensive array of semi-precious stones. These designs would include the many remarkable types of Turquoise mined in the Western U.S.
The Daggett’s specialty is handcrafted custom jewelry, marketed under the business name of Southwest Designs. Their jewelry collection can be viewed in its entirety at www.southwest-designs.com.
The exhibit can be viewed Monday through Saturday 10 am to 5 pm. All work in the show will be available for purchase. 

CVAC will host an artist’s reception for the Daggetts and Southwest Designs on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 1 until 3 pm. The reception is free and open to the public. Come and meet Lisa and Jim and see their amazing work. Attendees will be entered into a raffle to win a piece of Jewelry!  Appetizers and drinks will be served.
