QWERTYFEST MKE (a celebration of typewriters, the QWERTY keyboard, writing, innovation, and history) is currently fundraising for our 2025 festival, which will take place the weekend of October 3-5 at a variety of locations. To help secure funds to make it happen, we’ve launched an Indiegogo campaign here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/qwertyfest-mke-2025

Contributors can get a variety of perks at different donation levels– QF tickets, T-shirts, typewritten letters, a subscription to our publication, QWERTY Quarterly, and even a Christopher Latham Sholes (inventor of the commercial typewriter and QWERTY keyboard) bobblehead. 


On Sunday, June 22, we’ll be heading into the final stretch of fundraising, so we’ve set up a “Telethon” that you can visit in person (1-5pm) or see livestreaming (2-4pm) from our Facebook page at Sugar Maple (441 E. Lincoln Ave.) We’ll have some guest writers with us, and anyone who donates $25 or more (online or in-person) will receive a poem or letter on the spot! We’ll be talking about plans for the fest on the livestream and if you stop by in person, we’ll have some QWERTY merch for sale, too.
