Memorial for Jim Melotte

The community is invited to come together to honor and celebrate the life and legacy of Jim Melotte, longtime President of the Board of the Milwaukee Pride Parade.

For more than 20 years, Jim helped shape what the parade has become today. Through his leadership, care, and relentless dedication, a small neighborhood procession grew into one of Wisconsin’s largest and most meaningful Pride celebrations. His impact lives on in every flag along the route, every step at step-off, and every person who has felt joy and belonging because of this parade.

Please join us for a community memorial social on Sunday, February 22 at LaCage Nightclub from 2-5pm. This will be a time to gather, share memories, and reflect on Jim’s lasting contributions to our community. Light snacks will be provided, and there will be a cash bar. All are welcome.

We are deeply grateful for Jim’s leadership, vision, and love for the Milwaukee Pride Parade. His legacy continues to guide us, and we look forward to honoring him together.
