La Chancla: the myth, the way, the legend

Chancla, also known as a sandal or flip-flop, is the preferred discipline tool in the Caribbean and Latin America. Throughout history, millions of mothers have relied on the chancleta to discipline wayward youths.

Join us for a day full of food, games, live music, and a Chancleta Throwing Contest.
This competition will put your chancla-throwing skills to the test.
Here is your chance to use what you learned from your mother. 

Rules
The first round of the competition will be a distance-based event.
The second round is for speed. That's right, we will have a radar clocking your speed.
The third round is based on accuracy. Contestants will throw at a sitting target.

The winner is the one who wins two out of three matches.
Prizes: A trophy will be awarded in each category. The winner of two out of three matches takes a $100 Prize.
