This novel offers a kaleidoscopic vision of her fractured life and piecemeal understanding of self across multiple points of view. Janet Burroway slowly reveals a multifaceted, fascinating protagonist, who observes her own life without always allowing herself to be immersed in it. Spanning seven decades, this story is both epic and contained, rewarding readers at every turn.“This book is stupendous. I loved it so, so much. An assemblage, fragments that bring vividly to life a woman, an era, a world—or rather many worlds—this book is a marvel and a delight.”— Ayelet Waldman, author of Love and TreasureJanet Burroway, the author of Writing Fiction: A Guide to Narrative Craft, has written eight previous novels, as well as a memoir, plays, short fiction, children’s books, and more. Recipient of the Florida Humanities Council’s Lifetime Achievement Award in Writing, she is Robert O. Lawton Distinguished Professor Emerita at Florida State University at Tallahassee. - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/milwaukee/janet-burroway-author-of-simone-in-pieces-an-in-person-event/100001564477106139 - **Event Categories**: art, literary-art - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 0 ## Ticket Details - **Ticket Price Range**: min: 0, max: 0, currency: USD ## Event venue details - **city**: Milwaukee - **state**: WI - **country**: United States - **location**: Boswell Book Company - **lat**: 43.06517849999999 - **long**: -87.8782959 - **full address**: Boswell Book Company, 2559 North Downer Avenue, Milwaukee, United States ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: Janet Burroway, author of SIMONE IN PIECES - an in-person event - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events7/banners/46e46063f8a9395644caf015d52a778656f3fcff4f1adc81c696988bbeaf0363-rimg-w1200-h703-dcef9e42-gmir.jpg?v=1755155061 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is Janet Burroway, author of SIMONE IN PIECES - an in-person event being held? - **A:** Janet Burroway, author of SIMONE IN PIECES - an in-person event takes place on Tue, 18 Nov, 2025 at 06:30 pm to Tue, 18 Nov, 2025 at 07:30 pm at Boswell Book Company, 2559 North Downer Avenue, Milwaukee, United States. - **Q**: Who is organizing Janet Burroway, author of SIMONE IN PIECES - an in-person event? - **A:** Janet Burroway, author of SIMONE IN PIECES - an in-person event is organized by Boswell Book Company. - **Q**: Who is this event for?
