ENSJ 2013 Lessons from the Heartland: Inquiry to Action Group
Were you looking for a way to fight back against injustice? Organize with us!
Sept. 13th is our first PAYDAY!
Open to anyone who considers theirself an educator- teachers, parents, adminstrators, community organizers, the people. Children are welcome at the Public House.
This fall Educators' Network for Social Justice is kicking off the year with an Inquiry to Action group. Our focus will be Lessons from the Heartland: A Turbulent Half-Century of Public Education in an Iconic American City, a book by Barbara Miner.
Friday the 13th we will celebrate the beginning of the year by welcoming Barbara J. Miner herself, she will be signing the book at the Public House from 4:30-6pm. And because payday comes so late this year, Barbara and ENSJ are providing a combined discount to bring the price down to $20 even, (even less than amazon.com if you consider no shipping).
If you're looking ahead even further, our first iTag meeting will be Sept. 27th 4:30-5:30pm at Peoples Books (804 E. Center). Afterwards we will walk to the Public House for Fight Back Friday.
