A small, technologically advanced Western-aligned country whose air force frequently conducts reconnaissance over Eastern Europe.
Soviet-Bloc Successor State: The Volgrad Federation
A fictional hardline dictatorship formed from the surviving eastern provinces of the old Soviet empire. Volgrad funds, trains, and arms extremist militia groups known collectively as The Volgrad People’s Front (VPF).

II. THREAT SITUATION
Over the last 12 months, Ardenian Intelligence has tracked a Volgrad-aligned extremist cell moving operations into the foothills surrounding Black Mountain. This cell has:
• Begun stockpiling weapons
• Smuggled foreign digital components used for missile guidance
• Constructed a makeshift communications tower
• Occupied an abandoned village on the east side of the AO
• Prepared coordinated attacks on local U.S. infrastructure
The Incident
48 hours ago, an Ardenian Air Force reconnaissance jet—call sign Falcon-2—conducting a routine flyover of the region lost comms and crashed in the western treeline of the AO.
Satellite imagery confirms:
• Wreckage is intact
• The black box and intel modules are missing
• The pilot ejected, but no beacon is transmitting
• VPF forces are moving through the woods toward the wreck
