The Homestead Gift Exchange is a simple, heartwarming way to celebrate the season with our local community. Bring one small, wrapped item that reflects the spirit of homegrown, handmade, or heartfelt living — and exchange it with someone else!
You don’t have to consider yourself a “homesteader” to join in — this event is all about building community and promoting family wellness at home. Everyone is welcome to come, share, and connect. Bring the whole family, including all the littles!❤️
Examples of great exchange items:
🫙 A jar of jam, honey, or herbal tea blend
📚 A favorite homesteading or inspirational book
🧼 Homemade soap, candles, or crafts
🌱 Seed packets, houseplants, or natural ornaments
🍪 Baked or preserved treats
(Keep it simple and meaningful — suggested value under $20 or made, grown, or raised with love 💛)
Evening Flow:
🕕 6:00 PM — Arrival, refreshments, and mingling
🎁 6:30 PM — Presentation by The Local Exchange: what we do, what’s coming next, and how to get involved
🌿 7:00 PM — Gift Exchange
🤝 7:45 PM — Networking & community sharing
