- **Event Description**: Julie’s next gathering will be on Friday May 1, the night of the full flower moon at Foord’s Landing, where Julie has seen and heard a wider diversity of nocturnal wildlife than at any other place in Prime Hook. Bring a chair and listen to the music of the night. This event is accessible to everyone who is interested, and children are welcome. 

Moonrise is at about 8 pm so let’s meet at the pavilion at the end of the road at 7 pm. The weather will play a big role in what is happening, but sunset usually is a very active time. If the weather throws us a curve, we can reschedule.

The eagles' nest out in the nest should have some activity going on, as the eggs will have already hatched. If you have them, please bring binoculars since the nest is a fair distance out in the marsh. Julie will have an extra pair.

Hopefully the temperature will be warm enough to make the frogs and bats happy. Julie will bring the bat detector! It’s often possible to hear a couple of Great Horned Owls just at sunset. 

Follow Turkle Pond Road past the right angle bend and look for the Foord’s Landing Road sign on the left. Turn left onto the gravel road and follow it to the lot on the right near the pavilion. No registration required.
