- **Event Description**: The second of the series of new 'Marathon Hikes' for 2025 and 2026! Several hikes in many different areas, all of which are the full 26.2 miles Marathon distance and as well as a wonderful days hiking and a massive achievement you will receive a special Mountain Coach Marathon Hike Medal!! For this one we start and finish by the beautiful Caldecotte Lake in Milton Keynes (MK7 8HP) for the Woburn and Grand Union Canal Marathon hike. Starting at 7.45am we should finish around 5pm just after dark and just over 9hrs in total including breaks.

The circular hike takes in stunning countryside and also includes large parts of the Grand Union Canal, the village of Great Brickhill, Woburn (including the Abbey and the Deer Park, close to the Safari Park!), Brickhill Woods, the Ousel Valley and Caldecotte Lake. Fully guided throughout. The elevation is only a little over 1,000ft in total so a relatively flat hike overall. (Rating 4)
