We need your help!About this Event*Note, if you wish to book more than 4 tickets, please contact us first.*We are Community Trees MK and we are planting trees across the city of MK with the help of the people of MK.We are partnering with The Parks Trust to plant over 800 trees at a site now known as The Arboretum which is located at the South West corner of The Poplar Plantion just south of Willen Lake. We are planting tree species which will improve local biodiversity, enhance the green space for all residents and as the trees grow they will absorb lots of carbon from the atmosphere.To plant trees with us you need to book places in advance.On the Day:The date is Saturday 22nd November 2025. We will be operating the tree planting session between 11:00 and 15:00 on the day. If you can please join us at 11:00 and if you intend to stay the duration please being a packed lunch and a flask with a warm drink. We will provide water on the day.We will operate rolling start times on the day, if you are unable to join us at 11:00 then please book a ticket and come along at either 12:00 or 13:00 on the day.We hope to see lots of local people come to help us plant trees. This is an open-air event so please dress for cold and potentially damp weather, please wear stout boots or shoes. Please bring gardening gloves and come ready to do some digging.No experience is required, full instruction will be given and all tools will be provided. The aim is to have fun while helping the local environment.This is a family-friendly event, toilet facilities are available a short walk away at Willen Lake.All under 16's to be accompanied by an adult.Equipment:All tools will be provided and will be available when you arrive.Getting to the planting site:We would really appreciate it if you were able to walk or cycle or use public transport if you can.If you need to travel by car, there are a number of car parks availableLarge car park with paid parking at Willen Lake which is a 10 minute walk to the planting site.
