This mindfulness meditation event will be in collaboration with Silent Music, which means we will be wearing headphones. The event will be just over an hour, of which 45 minutes will be a mindfulness meditation. Through your headphones you will hear soft meditation music in the background, with some meditation guiding and poetry readings from me. There will be a brief mindful movement practice before the meditation and some time after for deep rest and integration. This wellbeing practice provides an opportunity to be in stillness and to offer yourself compassion for whatever arises within you. *** Beginners welcome *** Date: Sun 13 Sep Time: 08:30 to 09:45 Venue: Small Bay Park (on the grass), Pelegrini Street, Bloubergstrand, Cape Town Bookings: Contact Michael via WhatsApp to book and banking details will then be provided. Ticket prices: ** R200 for early bird up to Mon 07 Sep. ** R250 from Tue 08 Sep to Sat 12 Sep ** R300 at the event (if there is still space) Nb: Limited to a max of 50 people and this event is usually fully booked ** Things to note *** - Registration and headphone collection will be between 08:00 and 08:30. - You will need a mat or a beach towel .. preferably both as the grass might be damp. - A meditation cushion or a similar small firm low cushion is recommended. If seated on the ground will not be manageable, you are welcome to bring a deck chair. There are also a few benches in the park. - Please also bring a blanket to wrap around your shoulders or to cover you while you rest. - You will need to be warmly dressed with some layers that can be removed / added. - The meditation part of the practice is traditionally done seated but you are welcome to choose any posture that you are comfortable with (lying down .. standing or a combination of postures). - And because we will be at the beach ..
