# Event Details - **Event Name**: Outdoor Mindfulness Meditation event with headphones (Blouberg, Cape Town) - **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 18 Oct, 2026 at 09:00 am – Sun, 18 Oct, 2026 at 10:15 am (+02:00) - **Event Description**: Outdoor Mindfulness Meditation with Headphones - Sun 18 Oct (Small Bay Park, Blouberg) Our next monthly Outdoor Mindfulness Meditation with Headphones event is scheduled. The setting is absolutely perfect ... outdoors, sitting on the grass in the park at the beach, with the ocean right in front of us. This mindfulness meditation event will be in collaboration with Silent Music, which means we will be wearing headphones. The event will be just over an hour, of which 45 minutes will be a mindfulness meditation. Through your headphones you will hear soft meditation music in the background, with some meditation guiding and poetry readings from me. There will be a brief mindful movement practice before the meditation and some time after for deep rest and integration. This wellbeing practice provides an opportunity to be in stillness and to offer yourself compassion for whatever arises within you. *** Beginners welcome *** * Date: Sun 18 Oct * Time: 09:00 to 10:15 * Venue: Small Bay Park, Pelegrini Street, Bloubergstrand, * Booking: WhatsApp Michael to your spot and banking details will then be provided. Ticket prices: ** R200 up to Sat 10 Oct ** R250 from 11 to 17 Oct. ** R300 at the event (if there is still space) Nb: There are limited headphones and this event is usually fully booked ** Things to note *** - Registration and headphone collection will be between 08:30 and 08:55. - You will need a mat or a beach towel .. preferably both as the grass might be damp. - The meditation part of the practice is traditionally done seated but you are welcome to choose any posture that you are comfortable with (lying down .. standing or a combination of postures). - If you will be seated, a meditation cushion or a similar small firm low cushion is recommended. If being seated on the ground will not be manageable, you are welcome to bring a deck chair. There are also a few benches in the park. - Please also bring a blanket to wrap around your shoulders or to cover you while you rest. - You will need to be warmly dressed initially with some layers that can be removed / added. - And because we will be at the beach .. I am sure some of us will take a dip after (not with headphones). I hope you can join this deeply nurturing outdoor wellbeing practice. To avoid disappointment, please don't wait too long to book.
