In this class, our skilled instructor will lead you through the process of turning pre-thrown ceramic forms into personalized and unique poultry sculptures. Build your skills in handbuilding techniques as you create whimsical chicken components, adding character and charm to your creation. Not only will you learn how to sculpt by handbuilding with clay, but you will also explore the art of design and composition by arranging the chicken components and applying patterns and textures. Each chicken sculpture will be approximately 10 inches wide and 7 inches high – an ideal size for both indoor and outdoor display. Because the pre-thrown ceramic forms are handmade, each one will be unique and may vary in actual dimensions.Pet Policy: Visitors are NOT permitted to bring pets onto the WheatonArts campus. Only Service Dogs, as defined by the ADA, are welcome on the grounds.Seats are limited and booked on a first-come, first-reserve basis.
