The “first arrow” is the challenge itself; the “second arrow” is the suffering we create by dwelling on or resisting that experience. By avoiding the second arrow, we give ourselves space to feel, process, and ultimately heal.In this workshop, we explore that idea through Block Out Art. Using torn book pages as the canvas, participants create new meaning by selecting words or phrases to form original messages. The remaining text is then transformed with color, drawing, or design to “block out” what is no longer needed. This mindful creative practice encourages reflection, release, and renewed perspective.Pet Policy: Visitors are NOT permitted to bring pets onto the WheatonArts campus. Only Service Dogs, as defined by the ADA, are welcome on the grounds.Seats are limited and booked on a first-come, first-reserve basis.
