Altered books are a mixed-media art form in which a book is reshaped, physically or conceptually, into something entirely new. Participants may draw, paint, collage, write poetry, or incorporate found objects to develop pages that express a specific theme or a broader personal narrative. The result is a meaningful, one-of-a-kind journal that blends creativity, reflection, and reinvention.Pet Policy: Visitors are NOT permitted to bring pets onto the WheatonArts campus. Only Service Dogs, as defined by the ADA, are welcome on the grounds.Seats are limited and booked on a first-come, first-reserve basis. Besides an auto-generated email receipt, you will receive a confirmation email from the Director of Education and Artist Services, Pamela Weichmann. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us at 856.825.6800 ext. 112 or by emailing pweichmann@wheatonarts.org.CANCELATION POLICY: Refunds are eligible up to one week before the beginning of the workshop. After this time, workshop fees are non-refundable. WheatonArts reserves the right to cancel a workshop due to minimum enrollment. If cancellation occurs, WheatonArts will refund all workshop fees. A $25 fee is charged to those who do not show up for their appointment. We require 24 hours’ notice to cancel an appointment; otherwise, it will be considered a no-show, except in the case of illness. Are you feeling unwell or showing symptoms of COVID-19?
