Hey kids! Want to become a backyard superhero this summer?

Regular mosquito sprays don’t just target mosquitoes, they also harm the good guys, like butterflies, bees, and fireflies. That’s why we are joining Homegrown National Park for the Mosquito Bucket Challenge! Get ready for a fun, hands-on workshop where you will build a top-secret weapon to stop mosquitoes without hurting our favorite garden pollinators!

In this Make & Take class, we will learn how to trick pesky mosquitoes using a clever, eco-friendly trap called a Mosquito Bucket. Decorate your trap (bucket), create your mosquito potion, add the secret weapon (mosquito dunk) and leave a rescue stick for curious good critters.

By the time you leave, you’ll have a fully functioning, pollinator-safe mosquito trap ready to place in a shady spot at home!

 This Little Gardeners Make & Take is sponsored by Cordrey Charities. This class is $20 per person and being held at the Garden Center on Wednesday, June 24th at 10am. Class fee includes your 5-gallon bucket, art supplies to decorate your bucket, organic starter material, and your first mosquito dunk!

Kids of all ages are welcome to join but must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited to 20 kids. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
