This year we are holding our 6th Annual Charity Golf Tournament in memory of my husband, Chris O’Halloran. For those of you who did not know Chris, he was an avid supporter of our community as well a lover of golf.  He was the first Plantation Lakes resident to hold a position on the Board of Directors. He was also a NY & NJ Port Authority employee, a 9-11 responder and a United States Navy Veteran.  Likely, as a result of the inhalation of chemicals on the job from 9-11, he was diagnosed with lung cancer and ultimately lost his battle with the disease in June of 2019.We have raised over $50,000 for our veterans and military families through these outings and we hope to continue to do so while honoring Chris.  Again, this year all proceeds raised from this outing will benefit Tuesday’s Children, a non-profit charity (tuesdayschildren.org) in Chris’ honor.  Chris was known for his generosity and kindness. We continue to keep that legacy alive here at Plantation Lakes.
