Even the most casual bird watcher is awed by the mystery and magnificence of the Owl, whooooo can be found on all but one continent and has inspired myths, legends and art across cultures since ancient times. Want to know more? On Tuesday, September 16th at 6pm, join Mass Audubon specialist Charlie D. in the Roche Bros Community Room at the Millis Public Library for “Owls of Massachusetts.” Owls, with their silent flight and mysterious calls, are found all over Massachusetts and are vital to our ecosystems. This presentation covers owls that live in the Commonwealth seasonally and year-round. Discover their unique natural history, their significance in local habitats, conservation efforts to protect them, and the best times, locations, and methods for identifying owls by sight and sound.This program will feature one live owl.
