Create Your Own Botanical Art: Plaster Casting Workshop
Discover the magic of transforming nature into art in this hands-on botanical casting class in a relaxed, inspiring environment, you’ll create two unique plaster ornaments, perfect to hang on your patio wall or display in your home.
We’ll begin with selecting specimens that I’ve brought from my abundant garden — you select a leaf, flower, or branch that speaks to you. We’ll explore composition, prepare your moulds, and cast your chosen pieces in plaster. As the plaster sets, the anticipation builds — and then comes the magic of unveiling your one-of-a-kind creations.
To finish, we’ll enhance your casts with paint if desired, adding a personal touch that makes them truly yours. You’ll leave with two stunning wall hangings, ready to embellish your space with nature and creativity.
I love seeing something unique in my own patio or garden, made by my own hands — and nothing compares to that sense of connection, pride, and joy.

Where: The Post and Rail, 58 Riddoch Street, Penola
Cost: $185 per person
Includes: Morning tea on arrival, a ploughman’s lunch with preserves from our shop, and a complimentary glass of wine from our family’s vineyard. Aprons and all materials are provided.
