Dance Fight 2025

We are coming back with another Dance Fight.

Date and Venue are confirmed and booked!

Same format as last year, 6x1.5 hour movement classes related to dance pedagogy for swords. 4x1 hour cultural dance classes that either come from a martial tradition or led to one or are beneficial for our movement learning.

While we focus on HEMA as people running the event we have always worked with folks from different traditions and would like to have them here as well. In the past qeve had instructors from the SCA, HAMA and FMA traditions as well as dance from modern and historical sources and European, Indian, and African traditions.

NO DANCE BACKGROUND REQUIRED. LIMITED SWORD BACKGROUND SUGGESTED.

Curiosity, open-mindedness, a willingness to move and have fun are absolutely required.

All are welcome, this is a safe space to train and learn. we take this very seriously, in our open support of the LGBTQIA+ community, our policy of COVID safety and in our screening of teachers.
