📉 Pennsylvania’s Rural Heartbeat Is Fading — But Knowledge Can Shape the Comeback
Across Pennsylvania, the story unfolding in many small towns and countryside communities is the same — populations are shrinking, schools and businesses are consolidating, and the challenges of maintaining vibrant rural life are growing.
Enter The Center for Rural Pennsylvania — a bipartisan research agency of the General Assembly that turns data into direction. The Center empowers lawmakers, community leaders, and organizations with objective, nonpartisan research to strengthen rural communities across the Commonwealth.
Laura Dimino, the Center’s Interim Executive Director, will share the latest data and trends on population change in Pennsylvania — and what these shifts mean for policy, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic vitality in our rural regions. Her presentation will explore how we can respond and adapt to ensure a strong future for rural Pennsylvania.
📅 Join us on Friday, November 14th at 7:00 PM
📍 Millerstown Park Building
This presentation is part of the Perry Valley Grange’s November community meeting, where we will also be welcoming new members. All are invited to attend — come connect with neighbors, learn about rural trends shaping our future, and be part of a community committed to service and local engagement.
