“Watercolor for Beginners" (Session III) w/ Chris Pettman

The MAAA is pleased to welcome Chris Pettman back to the Gallery for “Watercolor for Beginners” Session #3!

In this creative and relaxing beginner class, Chris will lead you in crafting your own Christmas/Holiday greeting cards!

This is the third session of our beginner watercolor series. If this is your first session with Chris, you will be given a watercolor starter kit consisting of a large paint pallet, a brush set and watercolor paper. If you already have your kit from a prior session, bring it along and Chris will provide additional watercolor tools to add to your kit.

To begin, Chris will go over fundamental watercolor concepts to get you started, whether this is your first, second or third session. Then you will try your hand at holiday cards using your watercolor pallet and watercolor pencils. Anyone can do this class, as you’ll use stamps for your designs, and then use your pencils and watercolors to fill them in. Choosing your designs from the many options Chris will have available, you’ll complete a set of 6 greeting cards with envelopes!

So, join in the fun any time, as each session will include new and fun watercolor techniques. Who knows, this might become your new passion!

Held in the upstairs classroom of the Gallery, the deadline to register is Monday, November 17th. Ages 12+ are welcome to register.
