- **Event Description**: The Millersburg Area Art Association is pleased to announce that  Peach Michael is the Featured Artist for the month of November at the Gallery on the Square.

Peach always enjoyed creating, even as a child. Whether it was making potholders on a metal loom, learning to knit using  pencils, or cutting up her dance recital costumes to make Barbie clothing, she was always crafting. She learned to sew when she was in elementary school, and made her children their clothing when they were young.

In her early twenties, her mother-in-law Arla taught her to crochet. She went from throw pillows to Cabbage Patch clothing, then baby buntings to sweaters, and everything in between. Eventually she settled on hats for women. 

"Hats by Peach" started the craft show circuit in 1995. Peach began doing PTO cafeteria shows and eventually worked her way up to the Mt. Gretna Outdoor Art Show.  She officially retired from craft and art festivals in 2024. 

You can find "Hats by Peach" during the cooler months at the Gallery on the Square in Millersburg, along with her scarves, ponchos, purses, and sweaters.

In addition to being the Secretary of the MAAA, Peach is a member of the PA Guild of Craftsman’s Yellow Breeches Chapter and the Susquehanna Valley Chapter, The Perry County Council of the Arts, and is a volunteer at the Gallery on the Square.
