Embrace the early morning with fresh air, community, mindfulness, journaling, and movement! We Hike to Heal is a community bringing women together through connecting in nature. We’ll enjoy a serene walk around Abbott’s Mill Trail, which is a 3-5 mile trail just north west of Milford, DE. This is a easy walk with beautiful views. We welcome all fitness levels to join us; the goal is to enjoy the journey, we are never in a race!WHAT TO EXPECT:🌿A gentle nature walk at a relaxed paceGuided nature-inspired mindfulness activity A welcoming space to enjoy the present moment outdoors, converse and reflect, and take time to care for oneselfJournaling prompt inspired by natureCommunityOnce we reach a comfortable resting place, we’ll plan to take a break to catch our breath, enjoy the view and do a little breathework, mediatation, and journaling!Time: 9:00 a.m (please be punctual!) Please arrive approximately 5-10 minutes early. We will begin our activites promptly at 9:00 am and those who are not signed in by then are welcome to join on future hikes.Location/Directions: 15411 Abbotts Pond Road, Milford DE 19963We will meet near the picnic area.Parking: Free public parkingDifficulty level/Distance: Easy/3-5 MilesRestroom Facilities: Public restroomsWhat you will need for this hike:Plenty of water to drink! (we recommend at least 1-3 liters)Coffee/tea to drink if you want a morning treat on the walkBug spray, sunblock and/or hat to protect you from the sunComfortable hiking shoes/boots or trail sneakers. Comfortable moisture-wicking clothing – workout clothes work just fine!A daypack/backpack to carry all your itemsA towel or yoga mat to sit on if you’re uncomfortable sitting on the groundYour journal and a penAn open heartPlease review the liability waiver and be prepared to acknowledge and accept at sign in for your event.WH2H Group hikes are free events and our Ambassadors are unpaid volunteers.
