- **Event Description**: Sláinte Mhath all you wonderful Descendants! Especially you lads and lasses of Scottish descent! It’s that time of year to celebrate the one and only Robert Burns! The Ploughman Poet! Scotlands Favorite Son! On his birthday! 

The National poet of Scotland, Burns was born on January 25, 1759…and we’re excited to continue the wonderful tradition of celebrating his birthday and all things good and Scottish! 

We encourage you to wear your kilt for this memorable evening as we celebrate a true Scot and Scottish heritage! 

As you approach Descendants enjoy the piping of the Frenchtown Piper Nick McAllister. Once you’re inside get comfy with a pint or a dram and prepare for the traditional procession! Nick the Piper and Brian Kennedy (our Master of Ceremonies and entertainment for the evening) will lead the way…followed by the haggis and whisky presentation…and a few wee bairns for good measure. 

After the procession Chef Ismael will present the haggis and Brian Kennedy will recite Burns famous “Address to a Haggis”. Each guest will be presented their complementary dram of Isle of Arran Robert Burns Scotch whisky and the evening will commence. 

Chef Ismael will be preparing a traditional coursed Scottish meal and Joe will have plenty of Alba gu Brath on tap! Throughout the evening Brian will regale us with the songs, stories and poems of the one and only Robert Burns. And Nick will pipe alongside Brian.
