Oil Pastel Workshop

Join us for a colorful and expressive oil pastel workshop at The SHAC! In this class, students will explore the vibrant, painterly qualities of oil pastels while creating a playful fruit or vegetable inspired piece. The fruits and vegetables will be pre-drawn, allowing us to really focus on oil pastel techniques such as blending, layering, mark-making, and building texture.

Participants will have the opportunity to create two 8 x 10 finished pieces, giving you plenty of time to experiment and gain confidence with the materials.

This workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike. No prior drawing or pastel experience is needed. You’ll be guided step-by-step, while still being encouraged to add your own personal style and color choices.

All materials are provided, and you’ll leave with artwork ready to display. Come relax, get creative, and enjoy a fun evening of art-making in a welcoming community space.
