- **Event Description**: Join the Milford Public Library Staff and the American Littoral Society for a Nature Walk at Slaughter Beach starting at 2:00pm! Walk, talk, birdwatch, beachcomb, and discover the beautiful wonders of the Delaware Bay! Learn about all the unique creatures specific to our local coastal habitats like the Horseshoe Crab! Find out about more ways you can help upkeep and restore our magnificent beaches! 

We will meet at the Slaughter Beach Pavilion behind the fire hall located at 359 Bay Avenue, Milford, DE 19963. There is free parking next to the fire hall as well as across the street. There are restrooms, a water fountain, and a foot washing station at the entrance of the pavilion. We will start with a presentation from the American Littoral Society at the Pavilion before the beach walk. Please come prepared and ready to go!

Please note: This program will be outside at the beach. Be prepared for hot sunny weather by bringing water, sunscreen, bug spray, a hat, sunglasses and appropriate footwear. In addition, if you would like to bring binoculars or a bag for beachcombing please feel free! Give us a call at the library with any further questions. 

This event is weather permitting. Rain dates and any additional updates will be sent out closer to the event date.
