There is no requirement to have previously attended any Milford Pride Book Club or other events.✨ What to expect• A warm, inclusive space for LGBTQ+ folks and allies• A chance to meet new people in Milford• Total walking distance of about 2.5 miles. Mostly flat terrain.• Portable restrooms are available at Silver Sands State Park✨ What We'll Do• We'll meet outside Walnut Beach Coffee House at 10:00am, where you'll have a chance to purchase food and drink to enjoy during the walk.• At 10:30am, we'll wander approximately 0.4 miles to the Silver Sands boardwalk. Feel free to chat with new friends during this portion of the walk, or dive right into your audiobook.• Once at the boardwalk, we will don our headphones and immerse ourselves in stories as we enjoy a leisurely 1.8 mile walk to the end of the boardwalk and back.• We encourage you to walk at whatever pace is comfortable for you. Take breaks as necessary or feel free to stop simply to enjoy the view.• From the boardwalk, we will walk back 0.4 miles to Walnut Beach Coffee where you are free to continue spending time with friends, discuss what you listened to over a cup of tea or coffee, or head off to go about the rest of your day.• There is no requirement to complete the 2.5mile walk. You are welcome to break from the group at any point, for any reason. Lay out a towel in the sand, go for a swim in the sound, head to the Greek Spot for lunch, or even turn around and return home at any time.✨ What to Bring• An audiobook of your choosing and a device with which to listen to it.• Headphones• Sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and other sun protection is strongly recommended• Comfortable walking shoes• A bottle of water?
