Social-climbing Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced “Bouquet”) is determined to prove she belongs among the upper crust of English society—despite being constantly thwarted by her lower-class family, clueless neighbors, and long-suffering husband Richard.

In this delightful stage adaptation, Hyacinth plans an elegant candlelight supper to impress the local vicar and his wife, but everything that can go wrong does. From her sister Daisy’s unkempt husband Onslow turning up uninvited, to her man-hungry sister Rose flirting with every man in sight, chaos reigns at every turn. Meanwhile, poor Richard just wants a quiet life, but finds himself roped into Hyacinth’s schemes, including a disastrous boating excursion and an ill-fated trip to the country.

As Hyacinth battles to maintain her dignity amid mounting absurdities, the audience is treated to a whirlwind of slapstick comedy, mistaken identities, and social faux pas. Will she finally earn the social status she craves—or will her efforts backfire yet again?
