Rainwater Harvesting 101 Class
Friday, Feb. 27, 2026
10:00 AM - 12:30 PM
POSGCD Office - 310 East Avenue C, Milano
Register: posgcd.org/events/rwh-2602
This introductory class is designed to help homeowners, landowners, and small-scale producers learn how to collect, store, and use rainwater efficiently. Participants will receive practical guidance on setting up rainwater catchment systems, choosing the right storage capacity, maintaining system components, and exploring everyday uses for harvested rainwater—such as landscape irrigation, livestock watering, or non-potable household use.
In addition to the educational component, attendees will learn how to take advantage of the POSGCD Rainwater Harvesting Rebate Program, which provides $1 per gallon of storage capacity of up to $5,000 per household. The rebate helps offset the cost of installing approved rainwater harvesting systems, making it easier for local residents to supplement their water use while reducing pressure on the aquifer. www.posgcd.org/rainwater
